The Newlyweds are Home

We made it home and have been trying to recover from our jetlag. We will be posting more wedding pictures as soon as we get them from our photographer!

P.S. We’re making it official in the states tomorrow morning at the Houston Civil Court! Stay tuned! Love you all, thanks for keeping up with our adventures!

Lastly London

Our last night overseas was spent in London. We stayed on the east side of London in the Shoreditch area. We were on a search for dinner, preferably fish & chips for Kyle and stumbled upon a food truck party. They know how to put on a good food truck event! It was called 3rd Market and had a DJ, bar, shopping, live music and more.

We decided to eat a crab sandwich, closest thing to Kyle’s fish & chips.

Locks of Love

So with all the chaos from our wedding day, we had yet to make it to the Pont des Arts bridge to install our lock and throw the keys in the river. This symbolizes eternal love! There is another bridge, Pont de l’Archevêché, where you can place your lock which is for “lovers” it had way more locks on it.

It was pouring rain, but we had to go!

Our lock says Tweedy and the date 6/19/2013, in nail polish, that’s all we had!

Hopefully we’ll be able to find it again some day!

For the record:

Wedding Dinner

We reserved a table at Lapérouse for 7:30 but our photographer suggested we push it back in order to make time for more photos. The restaurant is ancient.

We were, without question, the sharpest couple in the place that night.

We ordered the five-course meal with wine pairings. In France, a five-course meal is actually a ten-course meal btw. Here are some highlights: duck liver…

And strawberries with basil sorbet…

I had a difficult time focusing on dinner with my beautiful bride sitting next to me and looking so absolutely stunning!! How’d I get so lucky?

Wedding Blooper

As with any wedding, things never go as smoothly as planned. We forgot some minor details on our wedding day: the flowers, our umbrellas, the RINGS! Watch this funny video:
